a screenshot... or... holy hell, it's hot

This, folks, is a screenshot. I've just taken it from my desktop. You will kindly note that the time you see indicated on the clock is PM.

One hundred and eleven degrees. In the dark.

Holy hell.

Justin-

I just ran across your blog (because of a link Lemon Gloria), and I just want to tell you that you write beautifully. I hope you write a book someday so I can read it.

I dated a guy who served in Iraq for six months back in 2003, and your writing brought back how much more real the war felt when he was there and writing home. This is more than the news is able to do for us Americans, so thank you for writing so well about it. Best of luck and warm (but not hot, or sandy) wishes on the 4th of July. Hope you don't mind if I keep reading!

I echo Alex - your writing is fantastic. I feel the same way I did as when I stumbled upon Lemon Gloria's blog - jackpot!

Thank you, all, for your unexpected (but nonetheless appreciated) warm words.

I sincerely hope that you each had a great Independence Day; it has always been my favorite (even more than Christmas!)

Fortunately, no one here saw any fireworks today. *grin*

That's hot. In support, we decided to roll out the triple digits here in DC today. We even threw in some humidity for good measure!
